Jewelry naturally tarnishes over time due to exposure. We recommend bringing your jewelry back to your nearest VAHAN distributor for regular cleanings, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t clean them at home too! Follow these step-by-step instruction on how to give your VAHAN bracelets a beautiful shine from the safety and comfort of home.
SUPPLIES
- Small Metal Bowl or Bowl lined with Aluminum Foil
- Baking Soda
- Warm Water
- Soft Brush
Step 1: Create a slightly thick paste using roughly 2.5 parts baking soda to 1 part water.
Step 2: Using the soft brush, gently scrub the paste all over the entire bracelet, making sure to get into the grooves.
Step 3: Once you have scrubbed the bracelet, place it in the bowl and cover with warm/hot water.
Step 4: Cover the bowl with foil and let sit for 20 minutes.
Step 5: Once the 20 minutes have elapsed, check to see if you still see darkness on the bracelet. If so, then repeat steps 2 – 4 until you have the desired result.
Step 6: Rinse well with warm water and dry well with a blow dryer.
Voila! Your beautiful VAHAN bracelet is back to it’s original glory.
Disclaimer: In some cases, this will not work for bracelets that are severally tarnished. If the band has a mostly black coloration, then it will need to be professionally refurbished. Your VAHAN retailer will help you with this process.
